An experimental essay by Matthew Lax which explores discipline, faith, disability and family alongside the production of his long-term multimedia project, A TIRED DOG IS A GOOD DOG. Mining his own auobiography as a queer, Jewish quadruplet growing up on a Collie-breeding farm in New Jersey, Lax considers puppy play and his own process in conversation with other dog films, dog ideas and dog projects by Laurie Anderson, Donna Haraway, Franz Kafka, Diana Thater, as well as the Lassie franchise and others.
